One can never forget the hilarious pair of Nischal and Joji as they rambled through the cool hills of Ooty getting into all sorts of muddles in “Kilukkam”. Nor Appukuttan and Ashokan in “Yodhha” as they go to the icy hills of Himalayas. In different times, in different settings, Mohanlal visited Jagathy at Vallore Christian Medical College to cheer up his dear friend and talk of all the good times they had together. They spent time together and Lal was so relieved to see Ambili Chettan in good spirits and getting better.
As he was under treatment, Jagathy was unable to talk but all Mohanlal wanted was a smile from Ambili Chettan and after an hour with him, he got what he wanted. That was when Lal told Jagathy about the success of “Grandmaster” which was the last time they had acted together. Not only a smile crossed his face but he ran his fingers across Mohanlal’s chin. Lal implored all to pray for Jagathy and added that with good treatment, Jagathy would without any doubt, come back into films.
Lal is visiting Jagathy for the first time after he was admitted in Vellore hospital. He was by his mother’s bed side in hospital where she was admitted and nursing her to health and was not able to visit Jagathy earlier. Mammooty had also visited Jagathy at Vellore. It was Mammooty who informed Jagathy that he had bagged the best comedienne award for 2011 and a smile appeared on Jagathy’s face at the mention of the award. Like Mammooty and Mohanlal, let us all pray for our dear Ambili Chettan and hope that he would soon come back and make us laugh until our bodies ache.
