Actress Ragini replaces Paravathy in – Kandahaar

Parvathy Omanakuttan is replaced by Kannada film actress Ragini Dwivedi as Mohan Lal’s heroine in ‘Kandahaar’, directed by Major Ravi. Ragini was runner up of Femina Miss India contest 2009. Her Kannada films are ‘Veera Mandakini’ and ‘Gokula’. At present she is acting in Tamil film ‘Ariyan’. In `Kandahaar’ megastar Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in a guest appearance and that too without remuneration. It is the continuation of Major Ravi’s earlier films ‘Kurukshethra’ and ‘Keerthichakra’. Mohan Lal dons the role of Major Mahadevan in this film too. Here he takes the challenge of rescuing passengers from a hijacked plane. Meanwhile, Parvathy Omanakuttan is acting in Tamil film ‘Uma Maheshwari’ directed by noted director Nikhil Rama Krishanan. She is the heroine of debutant actor Mani. Pooja of the film was performed at Chennai last week. She dons the role of a Bharathanatyam dancer in the film. Her first entry into the field was through Bollywood movie’ United 6′.
